The Square was opened in 1990, when it was awarded the accolade of European Shopping Centre of The Year by the ICSC, and Shopping Centre of The Year by the BCSC.
The existing centre is built on three levels, and features over half a million square feet of retail units, making it among Ireland’s largest shopping centres.
But while The Square is one of Ireland’s best-known retail locations, it’s much more than just a place to shop.
By virtue both of its central location and the wide variety of amenities within and adjacent to it, The Square is also the epicentre of Tallaght’s bustling civic, social and cultural life.
