The re-imagining of The Square includes a series of spectacular new pedestrianised streets and landscaped public plazas.
The initial works to the north of the existing Centre include a major public space which opens up access to the LUAS and other local amenities such as the Civic Theatre and the Library.
A key element of the subsequent works is the construction of a major square to the south of the scheme which will provide a new social and cultural area for residents and visitors. With the mix of residential, hospitality and hotel uses envisaged adjacent to this square, this enormous new public space will become a focal point for social and cultural activities day and night.
